Share Article

Coal Harbour is a high end neighbourhood located at the heart of Vancouver. Surrounded by Vancouver’s major parks and waterfront, residents and tourists get to see spectacular views of nature any day of the week. This former shipyard now has a wide variety of restaurants, shopping destinations, and attractions, making it a great place to live. Discover why people love to call Coal Harbour their home.

Getting around is a piece of cake

Access to public transport is pretty easy no matter what part of Coal Harbour you’re in. The neighbourhood is innervated by Vancouver’s major bus routes that head to places like Park Royal, Kitsilano, and UBC. For quick access to other cities in Metro Vancouver, the SkyTrain is only a short walk away. The neighbourhood has also made it convenient for avid bikers to get around – all of the public spaces are bicycle-friendly, offering a safe, healthy way of travelling the town.

Stunning sunsets are standard here

Cactus Club and the Vancouver Convention Centre are both found on Vancouver’s waterfront, which offers the most breathtaking sights of the sea, the mountains, and even Stanley Park! Visit here in the early evening to see the Burrard Inlet bathed in sunlight as the sun sets on the West Coast. If you’re lucky, you can even see a Seaplane land in the harbour. Plus, Cactus Club and the Convention Centre both have grass roofs which help clean the air of pollutants. Not only are they eye-catching, they’re environmentally-friendly, too!

Stanley Park and the Seawall are in our backyard

Aside from being close to water, Coal Harbour is known for having numerous green spaces, like Marina Square Park, Devonian Harbour Park, and the famous Stanley Park. You can enjoy the best of both worlds by taking the seawall destination walk or bike ride. It’s a great way for you to experience nature, view the sights, and get some exercise while you’re at it.

We have access to a seafood smorgasbord

Where there’s sea, there’s definitely delicious fresh seafood! Cardero’s Restaurant, LIFT Bar and Grill and Showcase Restaurant and Bar are good places to look for a scrumptious fresh catch like oysters, shrimps, and lobsters. Cardero’s and Lift are right on Coal Harbour Marina, so boat-owning guests can dock their tiny ships nearby and just walk up to the front door just in time for lunch.

We can shop ‘til we drop

Coal Harbour is home to Robson Street, Vancouver’s most famous shopping district. It boasts 150 retail stores, ranging from homegrown names like Roots and Lululemon to international luxury brands like Gucci and Tiffany & Co. If spacious shopping malls are more to your speed, the Pacific Centre Mall and Harbour Centre Mall are just nearby.

Sea to sky access. Literally.

We have the luxury of being close to Vancouver’s cruise and seaplane terminal. Many cruise ships dock here in Canada Place, which also serves as the departure point for many of Alaskan cruises. Meanwhile, Harbour Air Seaplanes, North America’s largest seaplane airline, offers a variety of tours for those who want to view Vancouver from the skies.

Coal Harbour has everything: great views, great food, great experiences, and not to mention, great people. You can feel right at home while enjoying the best that Vancouver has to offer. With so much going on, you’ll definitely never get bored here. We definitely don’t.
